Cochlear implant technology provides recipients with significantly improved access to speech and other environmental sounds.  However, additional training is often necessary to help the brain use this auditory information in a meaningful way.  Customized auditory training therapy helps improve a patient's ability to discriminate and identify speech sounds and other signals to allow for successful auditory comprehension.
