Bobby Gibbs joins the MCICE team to focus on translational research in his role as a postdoctoral research scientist. His projects leverage complementary information from psychophysical and physiological measures along with genetic analyses to explain temporal processing-related variability in cochlear implant users. Previously, he analyzed speech recognition based on temporal modulation masking at the University of South Carolina. Bobby received his Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with an emphasis on ecological assessments of spatial hearing in architectural acoustics.
